LANDSCAPE
Casolare Alberelli, with its 42 hectares, is nestled in the “Monti Livornesi” Natural Reserve. Nature reigns supreme here, with hectares of mediterranean scrub extending from our hillside in every direction, all the way down to the sea. The coastline is primarily rocky and stony, with nearby sandy areas. A wild and secluded environment, far from the most crowded beaches, and a crystal-clear sea to dive into, with views of the nearby islands of the tuscan archipelago and the coasts of Corsica. We love our land and strive to enhance it, preserving and protecting it to the fullest, and making it accessible through various channels, such as knowledge of the wild flora and its culinary and therapeutic uses, and creation and promotion of art pieces closely connected to the landscape.
ART PROJECTS
We have always been passionate about art and its promotion. In addition to having organized a jazz festival in Alberelli for several years, since 2020 we have been organizing Respiro – Arte nell’Aria del Bosco, an annual land art exhibition that hosts national and international artists in the creation and exhibition of site-specific works, performances, and interactive pieces. All of this is made possible thanks to the Feronia association (explore), which we founded together with other local friends. We host artists in residence and have a cozy gallery in the forest to exhibit works by various artists. Many of the works are permanently housed in the property’s wide spaces.
EXPERIENCES
We offer a wide range of experiences and services at Casolare Alberelli. We propose local cooking classes, botanical walks to discover wild herbs, wine and oil tastings, holistic treatments such as massages, gong baths, and healing saxophone. You can also take care of your body and soul through our wood-fired sauna and hot tub, nestled in the woods. At Alberelli you can wander among the land art works on our property, visit our little art gallery, take guided hikes to the sea and visit Livorno and Florence with a professional tour guide. Upon request, we can arrange small private concerts, ranging from cello to saxophone to guitar, as well as e-bikes or other means of transport rental.
